James Gillan signed with the Browns in 2019.  A former lifelong rugby player, Gillan quickly took accolades of AFC special teams player of the week for two weeks and AFC special teams player of the month in September of his rookie season.  He supports multiple charities and is well known from his much embraced nickname “The Scottish Hammer.”
